Each year the Nordstrom Anniversary sale perfectly plays out during my birthday week. It’s been something I look forward to shopping year after year and can chalk my purchases up to “birthday buys.” After 10+ years of shopping the sale I have lots of tips and tricks for ya. I’ve gathered up all the info you need in regards to the sale so you easily have it all in one spot.
If you’ve shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale before, you know that it’s not a typical sale where only past-season or soon-to-be-discontinued products are marked down. In fact, it’s quite the opposite: Nordstrom discounts tons of new products, current season and about to drop items and discounts them for a limited time before they return to their retail prices after the sale ends. It’s the perfect time to stock up on wardrobe staples, beauty finds, baby items, home finds & more.
Every year they add more and more brands to the sale. There are also some tried & true favorite finds that go on sale each year, only during this particular sale. It really is pretty great.
One of the not so great parts of this sale… things do sell out and they sell out quick. Nordstrom has a wonderful return policy. I suggest purchasing online and doing store pick up or shipping it to your home. You can try everything on and then return what you don’t want and quickly/easily be refunded.
How Do I Shop the 2023 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Anyone can shop the sale during general access but if you want to score early access, you need A Nordstrom Credit Card and/or to be a Nordy Club Member.
Each year I am 100% adamant on stressing that a store credit card IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you are not the type to pay off the card at the end of the month…. this is not a financially wise decision for you and your family. No pair of sale shoes is worth your financial wellbeing! Period. Even as someone that makes a *tiny* commission off of purchases from links I share- I’m still here to tell you… DO NOT do this if it’s not right for you. Another sale will come along. Now that is out of the way….
If you are in a spot where you have a Nordstrom account or a card is a good decision for you-Your cardmember status will be dependent on yearly spend amounts, but all cardmembers automatically start at Influencer status, which means you’ll get an extra four days to shop the sale before it opens to everyone.
When can I shop the 2023 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
They roll out dates depending on your Nordstrom cardmember tier. Key dates below:
July 11 to 16: Icon early access July 12 to 16: Ambassador early access July 13 to 16: Influencer early access July 17 to August 6: General access for all!

It’s that time of year again… the most wonderful sale of the year. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is unique because instead of items that are going out of season, it is the current season on sale up to 40% off BEFORE they go to full price for fall and winter. It’s so much fun to shop, but can be overwhelming as there are over 10,000 items on the sale this year and things sell out fast! I’ve gone through all 10,000 and picked the best of the best!

Best Of Women’s Clothing
These faux leather commando leggings are the best! I have them and got a TON of use out of them last year. Under my Instagram highlights there is a Spanx faux leather leggings vs Commando Faux Leather leggigs and (Spoiler Alert!) these WIN! If you are in between sizes, Size up. They are on the sale for $65 and normally run $100.
Faux Leather Snakeskin Moto Jacket by BLANKNYC is one of the best finds of the entire sale! I can’t believe it’s on sale for $65. It looks much more high end than that!! Every year they have a few jackets on the sale and they are the first to sell. Make sure you get yours fast! They have a suede jacket that is incredible too. It comes in grey and tan. This lace trim satin cami is the perfect layering piece and comes in lots of colors and patterns. This polka dot version reminds me so much of the Anine Bing designer version. At $25 it’s the perfect piece to stock up on.
Digging all the animal print this season. You can’t go wrong with this affordable leopard print slip dress. You can dress it up or wear a t-shirt underneath with sneakers and make it casual.
Free People items always go fast on the sale, and these busted knee jeans are at such a good price point these are sure to go fast. I have these and absolutely love them.
The hem on these black Frame jeans is so interesting and fun. I always stock up on my designer denim because it is very deeply discounted and will be worn over and over.
So many great black jeans on the sale, but these classic Levi’s are great. Be sure to size up, they run small.
This white trench coat is one of my favorites from the whole sale. It’s a classic, but a bit more interesting! It comes in a similar drape version as well that you can shop that one HERE .
The Slip Pillowcases are amazing for your hair and skin. I love them! If you aren’t quite ready to pull the trigger on the real deal, there is also an awesome Amazon dupe of them HERE.
This Supergoop hand cream trio set sold out in 2.2 seconds last anniversary sale. It’s SO good. I read this article on how you can really see your age in your hands. So many people don’t apply sunscreen their. It’s such a great way to protect them from the sun. Their sunscreen is great as well and they have a set with three mist on the sale. Recently I’ve been using this NuBodyand loving it. It’s on mega sale and helps to firm and tone your skin! (Perfect for summer season…)
I have and love my T3 curling iron and blow dryer and use them daily. ( I have shared them lots on my IG because they are so great!) They are part of the sale in the grey color and the perfect time to snatch them up if you have been thinking about making the investment.
Best of Shoes & Accessories
One of my most worn buys from last year were these nude Vince Mules. They are back with just a tiny change and also available in a snakeskin, black and nude. The leather is super soft and they go with everything.
Loving this chain necklace for everyday wear and to layer with other pieces.
So many great sunglasses on the sale last year. These affordable cat eye sunglasses are a must have. There are two pairs of Givenchy sunglasses this year. SO. DANG. GOOD. You can shop the aviator pair HERE and these fun thick exaggerated cat eye ones HERE.
Typically the bags don’t impress me, but this Rag & Bone Bag is made of the softest leather and it’s SO roomy. (Perfect for mamas to carry ALLLLL the things. This AllSaints crossbody bag is the perfect size, a great price point and comes in several color options.
Some great hats on the sale this year as well. Brixton always fit so well and look more high end. Best of Home
First and foremost…. BAREFOOT DREAMS! If you haven’t been converted yet, it’s your time to try. I’ve never felt anything this cozy and soft. The boys LOVE them too. I’ve never seen them go on sale this great in the prints. I snagged this neutral camo one. They also have the leopard ones and ribbed throws. Can’t recommend these enough! The leopard is one of my favorite things I own. They sell out every time they become available at full price so these are sure to sell out super fast!
Another blanket that we absolutely love is this Giraffe at Home Snow Leopard blanket. This is insanely soft. Georgie sleeps with this blanket every night.
Picked up these joggers for Trey. Love the marbled grey look.
These black Frame jeans are great deal for designer denim. A tiny bit of distressing and the jet back color makes them super modern. These are a great quality too!
This Kiehl’s face wash is the best for men. You can stock up for such a long time with this one.
Tumi luggage will last you forever. This carry on luggage is a great deal.

OVERALL BEST DEALS

If you aren’t familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale…. you are missing out!! Take it from a level 4 Nordstrom shopper (I know, I know, it’s a problem…) this is the best way to shop the upcoming fall fashions. I’ve got tips and tricks to help you save the most and navigate through the sale.
Why this Sale is Different
This sale is different from most sales in that these are the upcoming fall season’s hottest pieces put up at majorly discounted prices rather than sizes that didn’t sell from a current season. Once the sale is over, whatever is left is then marked back up to MSRP. Pretty dang awesome.
Important Dates/Cardholders
From July 12-19th Nordstrom cardholders can shop the sale before it opens to the public. This is important because tons of the items will sell out before the public gets access to them. I’m not a big fan of store credit cards, personally, because it makes self control a little hard. However, they have an option where you can get all the rewards and it connects directly to your debit card! I love this option. If you have better self discipline with your spending, they have credit card options too! You can sign up HERE. If you are approved for the card, you receive a $20 Nordstrom note to use during the sale.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public from July 20th-August 5th. Prices go back up to normal MSRP on August 6th.
Items Sell Out…Fast.
Everyone loves a good sale and quantities are limited. SO… things sell out fast. Anyone remember the Topshop striped cardigan last year? People were selling it on ebay for triple the price because it was so hot.
A couple things you can do to make sure you secure the best deals:
1. Apply for the card so you can shop the early access.
2. Shop online first, and then in store. There is always a better chance of the item being available online. You can also buy online and pick up in store.
3. Buy first, return later. Ok, so I’m not a huge fan of having to return items. I’ve worked in retail and know the hassle. However, this is an exception. Nordstrom has one of the easiest and best return policies in all of retail. Go ahead and purchase the item and if you decide it wasn’t a great fit, or was an impulse decision, it is extremely easy to return. If you wait to think on it (which in most normal situations I would suggest) there is a great chance it will sell out.
4. Restocks happen frequently. They do restock items throughout the sale, so continue to go back to Nordstrom.com if you happened to miss out on something that you really would love.

I’m pretty much a complete crazy A$$ when it comes to this sale. Early Access starts during my birthday week. I take that as a sign that I’m supposed to use that opportunity to the fullest. Year after year, I do. When the sale first goes live, I spend hours and hours browsing nearly every page for the best finds. (The sale spreads from women, baby, men, home, etc.) I typically look for classics that you can get tons of use out of in each category. They always have a killer leather jacket, great designer denim deals, designer handbags at majorly discounted prices, a beauty kit, booties/boots for fall, great staple coat, etc. This year I was able to get my hands on the media PDF’s and I’ve been creating lots of collages with breakdowns of the best deals in each category. Let me just tell you, it does not disappoint.

Triple Point Day/Card benefits
If you decide you do not want to become a cardholder, you can still join Nordstrom Rewards. With the rewards program you will get 1 point for every $1 spent. I HIGHLY recommend doing that.
Cardholders rack up points quicker gaining 2 points for every $1 spent. (This applies to Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club.) You get reimbursed in notes for alterations as well. Throughout the year, there are double points, and triple points days. These are great times to make larger purchases as the notes can really add up quickly!
You also get to choose a triple point day! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is absolutely the day to do that. Not only are you saving money from the discounted prices, but you also are making money from the notes to spend later. They don’t expire for a year. I typically majorly stock up during the sale, and get a ton of $20 notes. It’s hard to do, but I try to save those notes for Christmas time. I then use them for gifts. Around that time, it’s always great to have that option!

The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is FINALLY HERE! The fact that this sale lands on my birthday is just pure magic. I look forward to this every year. I have spent countless hours (aka an all nighter) sifting every single page of the sale. I’ve broken it down by category.

I’ve got every single item on the Shop Anniversary Sale Tab and I’ve also got then broken down by category.
First up, my overall favorites from the sale. Lots of these things ended up in my cart (sorry, Trey!), and some I will go pick up! (Don’t forget to head over to my Instagram and watch the Instastories from my trip to the store.) I try to show quality, what’s selling out quickly, colors, etc. They have an option where you can purchase online and then pick up in store. I do this for the things that are available at my location, and the rest will ship to my house.
OVERALL FAVORTIE FINDS
Shoes are big on the Nordstrom sale! I purchased a few different types this year. These studded booties were my favorite shoe find. They are classic and can be worn all the time, but with a little edge to them.
SHOES, BAGS, & JEWELRY
Each year I make sure to stock up on atleast one pair of designer jeans, a pair of boots/booties, some sweaters, a jacket and a coat. My favorite purchases in outwear this year were this suede moto jacket in rust for $125, and this parka with removable fur hood. The parka is a designer splurge, but it was $150 the normal price.
JACKETS & COATS
A lot of people overlook the beauty section of the sale. There are always great sets and products! The blowdryer I’m always raving about is one of the best deals. I bought this MAC make up brush set that is worth $167 on sale for $49.50. Whoop!!
BEST BEAUTY FINDS
Since I am in full on baby mode over here I couldn’t pass up getting Georgie and baby 2 some items too! I know I have talked about these Hudson baby jeans a ton on here, but they truly are the best. They are made of a super soft knit, are designer, and have a great fit. They are on sale for $22!!! I’m buying every single size G doesn’t have that they make. I also loved this little Rock & Roll baby tee for $11. Also, how cute are these baby adidas tubular knit sneakers?! They have them in women’s and men’s as well.
BEST OF BABY ITEMS
It’s hard to think about sweaters and fall clothing when it is so hot outside still, but this really is the best time to stock up on sweaters. Some of the best deals of the entire sale are some under $100 sweaters. Below are the rest of my favorite finds that are under $100…
UNDER $100
GREAT deals in the home department. I’m trying to find a place that I could put this bar cart, because it’s adorable. I did stock up blankets, and then I always get a few gifts from this department. This plush throw is legit the softest blanket ever. It comes in several colors and is $25. I got the cream color for myself, and then grabbed a couple others to put in the closet to have on hand as gifts. A cute planner makes for a great gift too!
HOME GOODS

I wear it knotted on the side, tucked in on one side or even all the way down as a tunic. It’s lightweight for summer, and pretty much perfect. I also am loving this under $100 straw hat. The feather band is still neutral, but really gives it that something special. Let’s just take a minute to admire this white handbag. The embroidery is so pretty, and that guitar strap is amazing. It also comes with a plain white/chain strap you can replace it with if you choose. So so good.
