Summer Sale

IMG_9808

IMG_9796

IMG_9809I love a sale as much as the next girl, so when all the great summer pieces are on discount, I stock up! I typically look for pieces that were part of a summer collection, but can be transitioned into fall wardrobe. Exhibit A…this cape! I’m normally not a pink kind of girl, but the Navajo print on this piece was too perfect not to pick up! It’s on major sale so hurry and get it while you still can. I paired it with some shorts and wedges for these last days of summer, and will zip it up and wear it with some oversized flares in the next couple of weeks!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday, everyone! I can feel the air start to cool down just a bit and the sun go down just a few minutes sooner. I couldn’t wait any longer to break out these over the knee suede boots, but as much as I’m ready for fall, it’s still hot! I paired them with this easy fringe dress to keep it weather appropriate. My obsession for fringe is never ending. Hope ya’ll have a great week and make the most of it! Lots of good things in the works this week that I can’t wait to share.

Let’s Go Girls

There’s something almost therapeutic about singing along with 10,000 other people to lyrics that mapped out your teenage years. I was so excited to make the quick trip up to St. Louis to see Shania along with Gavin DeGraw alongside my sister and BFF. We had such a great time chatting with Gavin before he hit the stage and electrified the crowd. The highlight of the night was Shania going around the arena and getting a little high five. My sister may have cried. (Sorry Kristee, had to call ya out.) I went with a 70’s vibe (shocker) for the occasion. I scored these J Brands on the Nordstrom sale and paired it with this silk crop top.

TreyAshley0198-LMy wedding day truly was the best day of my life. The end of the night change into the jumpsuit was the icing on the cake! I spent countless hours looking for the perfect dress to change into for the sparkler exit. Instead of a dress, I opted for this retro lace jumpsuit. I’m a jumpsuit kind of a girl anyway, and hey, when it’s your wedding there are no rules, right? It has sold out in the white, but I have linked the same exact jumpsuit in black as well as the romper version and a sleeveless version all by the same designer.

I am a lover of all things Fall. Pumpkin, leather jackets, booties, bonfires..Ahh Fallelujah! In Nashville we still have awhile till the air gets a little crisper, but that doesn’t stop me from supplementing fall pieces into my wardrobe when I can. I scored this amazing embroidered jacket at BCBG and couldn’t wait any longer to break it out. We are heading out to Volunteer Jam tonight at Bridgestone and I thought this was perfect! I love mixing a great graphic t-shirt in with a printed jacket. The hat adds the perfect pop of color!

Packing List

With my husband in the music industry, I’m lucky enough to get to travel… a lot! Over the years I have gotten much better with my packing. (And learned to downsize. Ok, downsize a little bit.) This weekend we are heading out for a quick getaway. This Maaji bag is the perfect size for a carry on. I love the suede detailing and the prints, and  it has plenty of pockets. Does anyone else feel like they are at the North Pole during a flight? I’m always freezing, so I always have a Wildfox sweatshirt in tow.  They aren’t too thick and can be thrown back in your bag, without wrinkling, for the way home as well. I also always carry with me sunglasses and a hat. After a long weekend it’s easier to just toss a hat on and not have to worry about doing your hair. 😉 (I’ve linked both in a previous blog post!)  Happy travels!

New to the neighborhood

We purchased our home this past November and have been spending the past few months trying to make the new house a home. Nothing can do that quicker than good neighbors! Our friends, Shelby & Jeff, recently moved over to our neck of the woods and we couldn’t be more excited. Jeff is a photographer, and Shelby helps with the business in a million other ways. What better way to celebrate our new neighbors than with champagne and a photo shoot? So that’s exactly what we did… P.S. You will be seeing a LOT of this perfect leather skirt. I plan to wear this for the rest of the summer and into the fall with sweaters and booties!

IMG_1461editI have a serious case of Wanderlust. When I saw this t-shirt I knew I had to have it! I love the snap detailing on the shoulder. These fringe booties are my go to anytime I want to amp up a simple outfit like this. And…. they are on sale! Snag them while you can.  A hat and some fringe always does the trick.

Best. Cape. Ever.

IMG_1647editSuede, fringe and a cape?! It was love at first sight. Almost, too good to be true! This is my favorite piece. Ever. It makes a statement, but is still versatile enough to wear many different ways. I’m sure it will be making an appearance again here on B&A! I chose to pair it with this low cut bodysuit, lace shorts, and this Rain & Rust open gemstone necklace to keep it cool enough for a summer night out.
