A calm, clean and organized home can do wonders on your mental state. Everything is easier when you can find it. Creating a space that is organized can help everyone stay calm.
Since many of us are home now this is a great time to utilize freed up time to organize our homes. All of these are Amazon home organization finds so that you don’t need to leave to grab them and they arrive quickly.
I’ve broken it down by different spaces. Start with something small- under the sink or a drawer. It helps to feel less overwhelming.
When organizing- take out everything from the space first. Then you can sort like objects and use the organizers to keep like items together.
I also LOVE using these labels. These are not Amazon, but worth it. They make the organization easy to keep up with.

The little styled vignettes of a home are always my favorite. The little detail pieces make everything come together.
Coffee table books are my favorite way to style nearly any space. Think nightstands, dressers, book shelves, kitchen counters, etc.
They provide interest, texture, and are great for layering. Love that they double as something your guests can sift through as well.
I thought it’d be easiest to organize by color so you can find what works best for your space. Playing with different sizes and spine colors is the way to go.

Our living room is where we spend a lot of time, but it was becoming a catch all for toys, blankets and various items everywhere. To parallel our mission to organize our home we’ve added storage solutions to keep everything clean and tidy.
LIVING ROOM STORAGE SOLUTIONS
Storage Baskets – Oversized baskets are perfect to toss in blankets and throw pillows. Mix and match different sizes and materials to add lots of texture into the space.
A Log Rack– Function meets design for this one. The oversized look holds a lot of firewood and makes a design statement as well.
Rattan Trays- Rectangle Option & Round Option These are great to add on to your coffee table or ottoman to collect remote controls, candles, matches, etc.
Accent Chests – This one has a lot of interior storage where we keep toys and even diapers. If you have a large living area you could even do a full size Sideboard/Dresser Option . Another great thing about adding a larger piece like this is the space to create a styled vignette on top of the chest. You can add coffee table books, candles, art, decorative bowls etc.
Decorative Bowls – This is a concrete option that adds a great texture to any space, but also provides storage for small items.

Holiday decorations really give that magical feel and look to your home. However, I’m still not a huge fan of anything with crazy colors or “character” like. You can easily pull of a neutral holiday decor theme and still have a cozy and festival feel.
This year we kept it simple with lots of texture. I kept grey and ivory tones mixed in with emerald greens and a bit of a “reindeer” theme with the pillow covers and gift wrap. An easy way to add in interest is by faux fur. (Shown here in throw blankets and on the stockings.)
You can find these pre-lit smaller (4 foot) trees for under $25 HERE. They are perfect to layer throughout the house, and really great for a kid room.
This might be some of the best prices on furniture I’ve seen in a hot minute so I just had to share! World Market is having a HUGE sale with some insanely good deals.
The Russian Reclaimed Wood Plank Table at Restoration Hardware is one of my current favorites. It mixes modern and rustic perfectly, but has a $3,195 price tag along with it. This dining table looks so similar and is about 1/3 of the price!
On the website they often style this plank rectangular type of table with a fabric armchair. This looks is great because it is comfortable to use and looks great as well. The RH version varies in price from $500 to almost $900 depending on your choice of fabric. This option HERE comes in both grey and natural linen for 1/4 of the price. There is also a more rounded bucket style option that is also significantly less than it’s RH counterpart. You can shop that one HERE.
This was styled in store with the RH Atwell Linear Light Fixture. The simplicity looks great with the clean lines of this table. The lighting fixture runs around $2,000. You can shop a nearly identical dupe for $300, HERE.
The chunky jute rug shown on RH in this space runs about 3k. You can find a look alike HERE and even an oversized 10×14 is under $400.
I have several RH picture lights and they are great quality. The price point is around $300, but there is one half that price HERE.
These dining chairs are very inviting and cozy so I love how they have added throw pillows and even blankets to the back of the chairs. It really adds so much interest with the layering and textures, but even more so makes it cozy. This throw pillow looks identical to the RH version for 1/8 of the price!

Sourcing home decor items is so fun for me so I thought I’d share some of my recent finds that are great staple pieces. When looking for home decor items in a neutral palette stick with pieces that have some texture, a print, or in a great fabric. You can then easily mix and match all of your pieces. When you get bored with one, simply switch it to a different room or vignette.
When items are neutral, it is easier to pull off a very high end feel at an affordable price point.

When it comes to kitchen decor, keep an eye out for pieces that are both design driven and functional. With an all white kitchen, it’s great to add in lots of variations of texture and materials.
I’ve rounded up all of our favorite pieces that help to keep the kitchen bright and airy, but also add some interest.
One of my favorite pieces in our home is our kitchen light fixture. You can find it HERE and HERE. Another one of our “big ticket” items were the barstools. We went with these because they are super easy to wipe down with kids. No worrying about stains. You can find them HERE.
The rest of the decor items are extremely affordable.
Here are also some of the best kitchen gadgets and appliance that are too pretty to even put away.
Georgie had a lot of his own ideas when it came to his “big boy” room renovation. He requested a “dinosaur theme” and blue walls. I am not a fan of anything “charecter-ish” and prefer a neutral color scheme. However, I wanted G to LOVE his new room and be proud of it.
It’s not quite finished, but I just couldn’t wait to share! We are waiting for this grey swiss cross rug to come in yet. It’s an indoor/outdoor rug which seems to hold up better for kids rooms.
I saw a similar picture in a Restoration Hardware catalog and ran with it. I knew it wouldn’t be possible to buy the entire room from RH because it would be super pricey. I purchased a few of the items from RH and then found lots of dupes!
When going with a theme room I suggest keeping the majority of the big items in a neutral palette. Then add “touches” of decor that have that theme. Kids outgrow what they are into very quickly, and this way you can keep the majority of the room and swap out detail decor items with whatever their new favorite thing is.
The bedding, dinosaur head, display book shelves and giant letters are all from RH Baby & Child. I was sure to link tons of dupes for these items as well that are at a much lower price point.
This dresser and headboard look nearly identical to the RH version. They are at an amazing price point!! I was super impressed. Note, you do have to build the dresser. (AKA Trey had to build the dresser..)
The fringe chandelier makes such a statement and is a really cool piece! It looks much more high end than it is. (It was under $300.)
Instead of using a typical nightstand we replaced it with a faux leather poof. This is a great option for kids that are switching to a “big bed” for the first time. If they happen to fall off it is a much safer option. This one works great because it has a flat top. You can easily put a tray on top to hold a cup of water or anything needed by the bed. (These are still on backorder as well, but I will update with new pics when these and the rug come in!)
Using mixed textures and mixed prints in a similar color scheme is my favorite way to decorate. The wallpaper was the perfect way to add a really interesting texture throughout the entire space. It almost looks like denim on the walls. I couldn’t be any happier with the way it turned out! It’s fairly affordable as far as wallpaper goes.
The line “it’s all in the details” is really true. The small little touches are what makes a space exciting and visually appeasing as well. One of my favorites were these tiny dinosaur footprints crawling up the wall. Georgie just thinks they are the greatest thing! (That’s what it’s really all about, right?!)
We are so happy with the way G’s dinosaur themed bedroom came out! He loves it, and I was able to keep it looking neutral. All is happy!
During the holiday break I was doing an evaluation of the blog, and reached out on Instastories on how I could be more of a resource. The most common answer was more budget conscious options.
I LOVE Restoration Hardware and treasure our furniture items we have purchased from there. I do NOT LOVE the price tag attached. It got me thinking and I’ve been on a mission to find items that had a similar look for less.
While on that hunt, I found SO many Restoration Hardware look alike items for less, and so many are almost exact dupes. FOR. SO. MUCH. LESS.

The Rococo Chandelier is one of RH’s most iconic pieces. It’s a classic that has proven to stand the test of time. This one looks nearly identical to the RH version for $350. You can shop it HERE.

Price for the 44″ in this style is $3,495. For $750 you can find a REALLY great dupe, HERE!
1920’s Odeon Clear Glass Fringe
The rectangular version in the smallest available size is $3,195. This might be the best deal of the dupes…. a great alternative for $249 HERE. It also ships free with Amazon Prime.
Wright Linear Chandelier
This RH version sells for $4155, but I’ve found a similar version for $719 HERE.
19TH C. English Openwork Rectangle Chandelier
This has become a really popular one lately. The smalles RH one runs around $1700. This one HERE. comes in several color variation for around $300.

Vintage French Round (& Square)
The Vintage French Round is a RH classic. We have them in our home, and love them. It’s a timeless look. They run $248 per chair. Here is a look a like (in multiple color options) at a much lower price point. You can also find a dupe of the square back version HERE.
Marseilles Chair
The classic RH Wingback accent chair will cost you $1895. A $500 version can be found HERE.
Remy & Marcel Collection Steel Chair
The Remy and Marcel collection are one of the more reasonably priced chairs. They run about $110 per piece. I did find a $78 dupe here.
Madeline Wooden Chair Collection

Ellison Barrelback Collection
The Ellison Barrelback collection is all the rage right now. I LOVE IT! They are anywhere from $600-$1200 per chair, depending on the fabric you choose. I’ve found an exact look alike for $300 per chair. You can find that one HERE.
Versailles Chair
This is such a cool design, and really makes a statement. The RH version will run you anywhere from $2200-4400 depending on your fabric choice. I’ve found it for $975 and it looks nearly identical. You can find the dupe HERE.

Russian Reclaimed Oak Plank
The simplicity with rustic charm of this one is just so dang good. The nearly 5k price tag, maybe not so much. Don’t worry, there are dupe options under 1k. You can find those HERE and HERE.
