There’s something about a coffee shop that calms my little man. I’m not sure if it’s the ambient noise or the people watching, but it sure keeps him calm and content. Needless to say it’s where I spend a lot of time these days, working or catching up with a friend.
I have been a fan of Sincerely Jules for so long now, and was so stoked to see her line picked up by Nordstrom. This cute graphic t-shirt is so comfortable and easy to wear. I threw it on with some lace up heels and distressed denim. You’ve probably seen me where these bracelets by now, but this might be my favorite Cadyn + Charlie stack yet! The marble watch gives any look a little update.
On our second stop for the Nashville Guide’s social takeover we stopped at Rich Hippies in Germantown. (They also have an East Nashville location.) This is the sweetest little baby shop, and I have found so many of Georgie’s clothes, toys, and decor from this shop. So many people think that when you have a baby you have to throw style out the window and allow your house to be taken over by bright red and blue gaudy baby items…. I just couldn’t let this be the case! It took some searching, but I have found tons of adorable baby products that don’t compromise style. G is wearing these adorable skinny jeans. I think he looks so cute in jeans, but I wanted to find a pair that were still comfortable for him. These are super soft and strechy (and under $10!). He also had on my favorite item we have for him, baby moccasins. However, they were kicked off and I forgot to put them back on him for the pictures. Mom fail.
I received this mama bird shirt as a gift while I was pregnant. I was so excited to be able to pick up G the matching baby bird shirt. (I will get a pic of both of us in these very soon!)
My mom and sister are both teachers and they always stress to me the importance of reading to your baby from a young age. G is just now starting to stare at the pictures and enjoy me reading to him. My favorite is this Goodnight, Nashville children’s book. We also have found Goodnight, Alabama and Goodnight, Cardinals to show him where mommy and daddy grew up. (And eventually it will help him understand where his grandmas and grandpas reside.
This shape activity mat is great for the babe to practice tummy time, and is one of those items I was saying is actually stylish. I love it! We also love these sweet animal baby rattles. (They make a great gift too for under $10.)
One of my favorite items is a decorative marquise style lightbox. You can interchange the words for different occasions and put the months/week age for your pictures.
Alton Lane has to be one of the coolest showrooms I’ve ever stepped foot in. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners thru a friend and they explained to me the ins and outs of custom menswear, their body scanning technology, how they came about, their showroom design and so much more.
My husband and I had a great afternoon getting him measured and picking out fabrics to design some custom tailored pieces to become staples in his wardrobe. Most people don’t even realize how ill fitting their off the rack suit pieces are, until they have something that is custom made to fit their body. Trey went into a fitting room where a 3D body scanner took 300 measurements in about 30 seconds, to ensure a precise fit. We were offered coffee (or a drink from the full bar) as we went over their EXTENSIVE fabrics. They even have a secret poker room for clients to use at their leisure. (Does it get cooler than that?!) Georgie even came along for the family outing.
I wore some of my pieces I grabbed from the Nordstrom sale for the day. The Anniversary Sale still has one week left! I know I keep chatting it up, but it really is my favorite sale of the year. It’s been so hot in Nashville that it’s hard to think about fall items, but when you see the savings, it’s totally worth it! One of the best staple items I purchased were these leather pants. They are actual pants, rather than a legging, like most faux leather bottoms. They also come in a great olive color. My exact blouse is sold out, but you can’t go wrong with a similar classic cold shoulder top.
We have a lot of traveling coming up in August. I’m so grateful to be able to travel with Trey and the babe, and show G as much of this world as we can. I’ll be capturing these trips to share with ya’ll very soon. 🙂

Kitty is a boutique and lifestyle brand founded by Sarah Davidson, of the band Stella James. She is a renaissance woman and started the business under the principal that woman can have it all and be it all, regardless of society’s standards of what we should or shouldn’t be. (I mean, how badass is that?!) The idea came to her after a meeting with a music manager who told her this wasn’t the case. Well, look at her now!
Raina Gir, is a local stylist who also manages the boutique and the brand. She’s also an insanely talented jewelry designer, who sells her designs (Rain + Rust) exclusively for Kitty. I’ve had her make pieces for some of my celebrity styling clientele and they were all more than impressed.
Sarah put so much effort into the design of the store. From the intricate tin ceiling tiles, to the #OOTD wall, to the record player constantly playing music, she’s thought of every detail. There’s usually some wine flowing… can’t beat that!
I LOVED the print of this maxi dress (which also come in a red/pink combo) and the lace up block heel. The western bolo is one of Raina’s designs.
I’m pretty sure it is NOT a coincidence that my birthday weekend happens to fall on my favorite sale of the year! In my humble opinion, this is the best sale in retail! The Nordstrom sale features the new fall pieces at HIGHLY discounted prices, BEFORE they hit the racks for the season. After the sale, the prices go back up to the normal MSRP.
If you are a Nordstrom cardholder you can start shopping now. I personally like that you have the option to have a Nordstrom debit card, which simply links to your debit card and you can accumulate rewards. This way you don’t have to have another credit card if you aren’t comfortable with that. If you are not yet a Nordstrom cardholder, you can sign up here . The sale opens to the public on July 22nd. It’s always a good idea to put the items you want into a wish list, and once it hits public, you can go ahead and purchase!
If you have been following me for awhile now, you probably know I have a serious obsession with jackets. There are some GREAT ones on the sale!! I can’t tell you how good the tan suede jacket is. I already had it in a navy blue color, and I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. This fur leather jacket comes in burgandy and black, AND the fur is removable. It’s under $100 and such a great staple piece. Possibly my favorite item that I bought on the sale were the leather pants. They come in both black and olive. They are an actual pant (not a legging) so you can wear them with absolutely anything this fall. I loved them so much I braved this heat to wear them to a store opening the other night. My best buy from last years sale had to be the Joie Western Booties in a greyish color. They brought them back in black and I couldn’t pass them up. They are so comfortable and go with anything and everything.
Many people don’t realize that the Nordstrom Sale also has tons of home goods available. I’ve been wanting to upgrade our guest bedroom for a long time, so this was perfect!
I didn’t want to spend a ton on new furniture, so I decided to order some a new bedding and decor to make it flow better with the rest of the decor in our home. This ox skull canvas will really make a statement for the room. I also wanted to add a cow hide for under the bed. This is one of the best neutral colors that I have seen and at a great price point. I went with a white comforter, so I thought it would be fun to add some mix and match throw pillows and blankets all in neutral colors. This striped throw blanket has lots of different textures.
I couldn’t pass up a few little things for Georgie’s nursery. As travel lovers, our hope is to bring G to as many places and have him experience as many travels as possible growing up. How great is this World Travel Pallet? You can take a sharpie and write a little something at each place you visit. I think it’s something he can have with him forever and treasure. I plan on putting the date we traveled to each location on the map. I also loved this $30 You Are My Sunshine Rustic Sign. My grandfather used to play this song for me on the piano, so it is extra special.
I bought 5 of these Kate Spade thermal mug. I love the design, and at $11 they are the PERFECT gift. It’s always nice to store something away and if you need a small little gift, you have it on hand.

There’s nothing better than hanging at the beach in the summertime. I was so excited to have some friends of ours come down to hang with us for the week. We decided to take the 8 hours drive down with them……. with our 2 month old, and their 2 year old. Yes, I’m aware it’s crazy. Leaving at night did the trick, and both babes slept most of the way down. They had to leave a couple days early so we flew back. It was fun to show them our favorite oyster spot, take some boat rides, see some dolphins, and take G swimming in the pool for the first time. I’m so grateful Georgie will get to grow up going there and getting lots of QT with his cousins and family. He LOVED the boat, and being in the pool. I think it’s safe to say we have ourselves a little water baby. YAY!
One of the things I like most about Panama City, is how layed back it is. No need to dress too fancy!
I pretty much live in cutoff shorts in the summertime, but especially while we are at the beach. They are so easy. This white pair is on sale for $25! No joke. A great statement ring can add so much to a neutral outfit. I have an arrow obsession and this gold arrow ring is on sale, so I just couldn’t pass it up!

Mom life is hard. It’s not too often that I get out and about these days. However, every now and again it feels good to put on a little lipgloss and a skirt to run my errands and grab a coffee with some friends. (With Georgie in tow!) I’m obsessed with Jennifer Haley bags, and this large fringe one is big enough for G’s essentials. It’s also easy to carry the car seat and not have to carry a bag. Bonus!
I was feeling all the western vibes in this look! A great hat is a must in Nashville. This one is a nice quality and inexpensive! This flare skirt is one of my favorite basics. It really has a great shape to it that is universally flattering. I jumped on the cactus trend with this cute knot blouse. There’s no better place for a little white on white than the beach! This white off the shoulder top is under $25!!! It’s so lightweight and I love the embroidery detailing. I know white denim is all the rage these days. These have a lot of strech and are very comfortable and they also have a distressed version. It’s so nice to come down to the beach and get some R&R. I’m so grateful that Georgie will get to come down here and make great memories with his cousins and beach friends. I’ll have lots more from our beach trip this week…. stay tuned!
As a music lover, a good band t-shirt with some distressed jeans is essential! I had so fun rounding up some of my favorite graphic band t’s. I really love the distressed detailing on this AC/DC one, and this black Aerosmith shirt. It’s very similar to the sold out, blue version, I am wearing. I purchased this exact shirt from Revolve Clothing. You can sign up to receive a notification when it comes back in stock, or ask for a special order from the supplier. (This is what I did to purchase mine! They are great about it!) My husbands all time favorite is Guns n Roses, so I had to scoop up this under $40 tank.
I found a great double buckle belt for under $25! I also have the cognac color belt, and they are a great (inexpensive) way to add a little something extra to any outfit. I know I’ve gushed over these leather sneakers over and over, but they are my absolute favorite. They are one of my favorite investment pieces that I’ve ever purchased.
I love spending my days with my new favorite tiny sidekick. We go on a lot of strolls, and I absolutely love my car seat/stoller combination. If you are in the market, this is the best one I’ve found! The Nuna Pipa car seat pops right into the base in our cars, as well as right into the stroller base. It’s extremely lightweight and easy to use. We went with the classic black, but it comes in 5 other colors. As frequent travelers, we loved that this could be used without a base as well. I tried dozens of strollers out and searched TONS of reviews. It was a major purchase, and I really wanted to make sure I picked the best one for us. I can’t say enough great things about the Nuna Ivvi. A full review will be coming to the blog soon. We went with the graphite color, but it comes in 2 other colors as well. Currently, we use the car seat and the stroller base. It’s easier to not have to take him out of the car seat to put him into the stroller, but as he gets a little bigger we will start using the stroller as is.

I missed the window of opportunity for true newborn pics (besides the few we were able to snap at the hospital) so we decided to go ahead and get our first family photos. I love how they turned out! Georgie has been packing on the pounds these last couple weeks. He is starting to interact with us a little more and we are soaking him in. We found out he is lactose intolerant, so I’ve had to cut back all dairy from my diet. (Ahh how I miss CHEESE!) But other than that he has been so sweet and great.
I went with a suede dress for our first family photographs. It’s so comfy and easy with the little man. I plan to wear this a LOT this summer. Plus, it’s almost half price right now! Here is a similar suede dress but a lace up version. It also has whipstiching and is ON MEGA SALE. It’s drool worthy. I also found some great suede dress options that are very budget friendly. You can shop them here and here. I wanted a monochromatic look so I went with suede shoes too. These have a chunky heel and I can stand in them all day they are so comfy and sturdy!
