Neutral Halloween Decor

Neutral Halloween Decor

Somehow it is already almost Halloween! I know trick or treating is up in the air this year depending on where you live, but we can still make it feel fun and special.

I’m sharing a few neutral pieces that can mix in well with your current home decor pieces.

Floating Candle String Light Set- If you are having a gathering these Harry Potter floating candles are a must! They are a show stopper!

Branch Garland- This piece could be hung up or used as a centerpiece.

Pinstripe Napkins- These could be used any time of year, but are a fun way to add in some Halloween vibes to a tablescape.

Set Of Smoke Tea Light Candle Holders- These look very high end and beautiful. They can be split up to use throughout your home or all together on a table.

Ghost Mug- A super affordable ghost mug is adorable and paired with a Coffee Shop Gift Card would be the perfect little gift idea for a teacher or anyone in your life.

Ivory Textured Pumpkin- My favorite piece I added to our decoration collection this year! So beautiful and well made.

Skeleton Hand Champagne Glass- These are stunning and are sure to be a conversation starter!

Stick On Bats- These really make a statement for under $10.

Noir Candle- Love the stone look of this and the woody smell is perfect for fall.

Covered Cheese Serving Tray- Another piece that can be used all year long. So beautiful!

Black Candle Holders- An Amazon find that work well all year round.

Hanging Skeleton & Crossbones- Would look perfect layered inside of a wreath.

Best Finds From Studio McGee For Target Launch

** Click on any of the images below to shop. **

McGee & Co is one of my absolute favorite places to find quality home decor pieces. Now you can get that same high end look at Target prices.

The collection goes live on 9/13, but will sell out FAST. I wanted to share the best of the best pieces prior to that date. Pro tip: you can save all of these items into your wish list. When the arrival date rolls around you can just add the wish list items straight into your cart and checkout.

Many of the items are replica pieces of very pricey options on the McGee & Co website. For instance, I have been eyeing some woven nesting tables on their site. However, they are $2k. In this collection there will be a nearly identical set for around $150. You can check those out HERE. The texture on them is just so good!

I will also be purchasing this wooden end table that looks much more high end than it’s price tag.

This black console table is another almost exact dupe of one of this $1,500 version from their site.

Another item that is a must see is this faux olive tree.

The ottoman cubes are one of the most popular items and are just so good! They are under $100 and come in a few different options. The striped , grid option, and woven are all so good and neutral enough to mix and match as well.

This $20 knot figure is such an awesome and versatile decor piece. It looks great over a few coffee table books for easy styling.

It’s truly an amazing collection of affordable, versatile pieces. You can view the entire collection, HERE.

Happy Shopping!

Mcgee & Co New Arrival Home Decor Must Haves

Mcgee & Co has quickly become my favorite place to shop for home decor. Their items are mostly neutral and easy to mix and match.

They curate a collection of items that have texture and interest in a neutral palette. (AKA my dream!) Often their are unique vintage pieces mixed in with new finds.

It’s my absolute go to place for art. I recently purchased this oversized art piece. SO excited for it to arrive and go over our couch. It’s a huge piece (49″ square) and will make a statement anywhere.

They also have great vases at affordable prices. The texture on THIS ONE is great and comes in a shorter size and a taller version.

This two tones marble salt and pepper set is simple, but beautiful. (Also, affordable option!) It would make a great hostess gift paired with a cookbook and this fringe striped napkin set.

Mcgee & Co also has great lighting and furniture pieces. I’m eyeing this ivory woven chandelier and this end of bed bench.

Outdoor Dining For Summer Nights

Outdoor Dining For Summer Nights

With the focus being at home these days, we wanted to create a serene space for dining outdoors. It’s a great way to entertain and utilize time outside.

Outdoor furniture can be very pricey and often the more affordable options do not feel sturdy. After ordering a couple affordable options, I realized some were even smaller in scale than normal furniture.

After LOTS of trial and error, sending items back (eek), and scouring the internet…I’ve found some winners! Here are some great outdoor pieces that can create the perfect outdoor dining space at a super affordable price point.

First, you want to ground the space with a large outdoor rug. This one HERE is neutral, durable and on mega sale.

These outdoor chairs come in a pack of 6 for $400.

The wash on this table is neutral and really pretty in person. It’s on sale for around $300 and can be found HERE. We added this umbrella for shade and it was $70.

We had such a fun night with the boys snacking on a summer charcuterie board. I’ve got some fun posts with charcuterie and treat boards. You can find the charcuterie one HEREHERE.

If you are needing more outdoor activity ideas to keep your family entertained this summer, I’ve got a post with ideas on that HERE.

10 Oversized Affordable Art Pieces That Make A Statement

10 Oversized Affordable Art Pieces That Make A Statement

Adding art into your house makes it feel like a home. It’s an easy way to showcase your personality and decorate at the same time. However, finding large pieces that make a statement typically is VERY pricey.

I’ve rounded up 10 oversized affordable art pieces that make a statement and are all under $500. (Most are far beneath that price point as well.)

When looking for oversized affordable art finding pieces with lots of texture is a great place to start. They tend to look higher end and provide a lot of interest.

Here is a piece which features lots of great texture and is under $250.

Another amazing deal are these white plaster art pieces that are around $150 a piece or a little under $300 for a set. The set would look perfect over a couch!

Minted is a great site to find inexpensive art. The site supports independent artists and you can customize the size and frame to fit your specific needs.

You can click on any of the below art pieces to shop them.

** If you loved these art pieces, be sure to check out lots of other neutral home decor pieces, HERE. **

Amazon Home Decor Finds

Since so much time is spent at home these days I have been focusing on making ours as comfortable and “homey” as possible. Design projects I had put off for months are slowly getting finished and I’ve had great luck with Amazon home decor finds. So many neutral, affordable pieces that can be mixed and matched.

You can click on any of the below images to shop them.

ightweight Pre-Washed Belgian Flax Linen Reversible Throw– This looks almost identical to the Restoration Hardware collection for a fraction of the price. (If you love the look of RH, but are looking for more budget friendly options. Check out this Restoration Hardware Dupe post, HERE.

Soap Dispenser- We love the shea in this soap, but also love the neutral design of this bottle. You can reuse this bottle over and over.

Santal Essential Oil- The best way to make your house smell luxurious. This smells very similar to Le Labo’s Santal perfume.

Set Of 3 Linen Tea Towels– My favorite of the Amazon Home Finds. This comes in tea towels, napkins or table runners.

Grey Terracotta Vase- Easy to use as a decorative piece over a stack of coffee table books or with flowers as a vase. It has great texture!

Mango Serving Tray– Comes in various sizes. Great as a serving tray or as a decorative tray.

Wick Trimmer- Love adding this useful tool next to a candle as a decorative piece. This is under $10.

Cream Jute Rug- This comes in a variety of sizes and is super affordable!

Neutral Coffee Table Books- The easiest way to style any space is with coffee table books. Two great options on Amazon HERE and HERE.

Coffee Table Books By Color

coffee table books

The little styled vignettes of a home are always my favorite. The little detail pieces make everything come together.

Coffee table books are my favorite way to style nearly any space. Think nightstands, dressers, book shelves, kitchen counters, etc.

They provide interest, texture, and are great for layering. Love that they double as something your guests can sift through as well.

I thought it’d be easiest to organize by color so you can find what works best for your space. Playing with different sizes and spine colors is the way to go.

Living Room Storage Solutions With Wayfair

Living Room Storage Solutions

living room storage solutions

We are on a mission to keep a calm, clean and organized house this year. I’ve partnered with Wayfair to share some living room storage solutions to help keep this high traffic area of any home clutter free and functional.

Our living room is where we spend a lot of time, but it was becoming a catch all for toys, blankets and various items everywhere. To parallel our mission to organize our home we’ve added storage solutions to keep everything clean and tidy.

Storage Baskets – Oversized baskets are perfect to toss in blankets and throw pillows. Mix and match different sizes and materials to add lots of texture into the space.

A Log Rack– Function meets design for this one. The oversized look holds a lot of firewood and makes    a design statement as well.

Rattan Trays- Rectangle OptionRound Option These are great to add on to your coffee table or ottoman to collect remote controls, candles, matches, etc.

Accent Chests – This one has a lot of interior storage where we keep toys and even diapers. If you have a large living area you could even do a full size Sideboard/Dresser Option . Another great thing about adding a larger piece like this is the space to create a styled vignette on top of the chest. You can add coffee table books, candles, art, decorative bowls etc.

Decorative Bowls – This is a concrete option that adds a great texture to any space, but also provides storage for small items.

Wayfair has TONS of storage options and many are at very affordable price points. You can check them all out HERE.
